Programme objectives :

  • To equip with the requisite knowledge and skills to become self-reliant to face the challenges of life.
  • To develop professional skills in Food Science and Nutrition, Human Development, Textile Science and Apparel Design, Resource Management (Hospitality Management) for social and economic empowerment.
  • To provide training and quality education for Entrepreneurship Development.
  • To build linkages with NGOs, Government and Academic Institutions to enhance or enrich employment opportunities.
  • To develop a sense of social responsibility through participation in community outreach Programme.
  • To focus on the multi-disciplinary perspective by integrating science, social science and technology for improvement in the quality of life.

Programme Specific Objectives :

  • To impart knowledge and develop capabilities of the students through state-of-the-art higher education in the area of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
  • To enable the students to pursue higher education and research in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
  • To build linkage between the customer, travel and hotel industry.
  • To inculcate aptitude in the students for becoming Hospitality Professionals.

Programme outcomes :

  • Understand the concepts, practices and procedures existing in the Tourism and Hospitality industry.
  • Develop and manage strategies for innovative and sustainable management of the Tourism and Hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrate analytical, decision making, entrepreneurial and leadership skills within the legal and ethical framework.
  • Enhance scientific temper and its contextual application in the field of Tourism and Hospitality industry.
