Collaborative Projects :
  1. Title: Clothing for Aviation Hospitality
    Collaboration: Aviation Career Academy
    A collaborative project with Aviation Career Academy on Clothing for Aviation Hosiptality was undertaken by the department.
  2. Title: Enzymes on Denim and application of Value Addition to Denim Fabric
    Collaboration: Rossari Bio Tech
    A collaborative project with Rossari Bio Tech on “Enzyme Fading treatment and Value Addition” was undertaken as a faculty development program.
Highlights :

Project Work : Assignments are given at individual & group level. Some examples are Market survey / Consumer survey. This helps in better understanding of the subject, team building and understanding of the survey techniques. Through this method students also collect additional information.

Educational Tours, Field Trips : This is useful for students as they are able to meet & interact with the industrial professionals.

Use of Information and Communication Technology : This year the department has initiated in yahoo group formation for ICT Learning. The group name is bmntsad338 @ yahoogroups.com . The members of the group are the departmental teachers and students.

Industrial visits : Industrial visits are arranged regularly such as Texan Lab, CIRCOT, VJTI, ICT etc

Enhancement of entrepreneurship skills among the students : The entrepreneurs from various sectors of textiles and clothing industry are invited to share their experience and also to give tips on how to go about on starting a boutiques or readymade garments manufacturing unit etc.

Internship / Industrial Training : Some of the units where students are placed for intersnship are Century textiles, Creative garments, Texan Lab, Grassims, Madanlal Mehra manufacturer-Exporters, INMA Exports, Siyaram Silk Mills, Bombay Rayon Fashion Ltd., Anna Exports, S.Q.Collections etc. This programme helps the students in getting the practical experience in related topics and also helps them in getting placement after graduation.

Participation in workshop & Conference etc. : Students are encouraged to participate in workshops and conferences outside the college. They help the organizers in back office activities. By such type of interaction, they get to know the latest in the field of textiles & clothing. It helps to develop the confidence in social interaction.

Fashion show : This innovative method help the students in showing their creativity and improving presentation skills.
